Gregg Kaplan, Co-Founder and Chairman

Gregg is the founder and former CEO of Redbox, which he grew from inception to nearly $2 billion in revenues over a 10-year period, with 20%+ EBITDA margins. At its peak Redbox had 44,000 location in every U.S. state, Canada and Puerto Rico. After the acquisition of Redbox by Coinstar, Gregg served as COO and President of Coinstar for 4 years, overseeing the Coin division and the Redbox division, doubling revenue and EBITDA in that time period. Gregg is also currently an Operating Partner with Pritzker Group Private Capital. Prior to Redbox, which was incubated out of McDonald’s Corp., Gregg was a Partner at divine, Inc., a publicly traded internet incubator, as well as an early employee of Streamline.com, an online grocer that also went public. Gregg received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and his BA from the University of Michigan.

Mike Jakob, CEO

Mike Jakob brings to DGT over 20 years of experience in sports, technology and digital media. Mike previously served as President, COO and CFO for Sportvision, the company best known for the invention of football’s yellow 1st and Ten® line, baseball’s KZone and PITCHf/x technologies and NASCAR’s RACEf/x.  During Mike’s tenure Sportvision technologies were employed at over 5,000 events annually, reaching more than 100 million fans, and captured ten Emmy Awards, the inaugural Sports Business Journal “Sports Technology/Innovation of the Year” Award, and was named by Fast Company Magazine’s as one of the “50 Most Innovative Companies in the World”.

Prior to joining Sportvision, Mike worked as COO for Ignite Sports, a leading Chicago based publisher of private label websites for professional sports teams and leagues; Director of Sears Online for Sears Roebuck & Co.; and as a management consultant for both A.T. Kearney and Peterson Consulting.  Mike earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BBA in Finance from University of Notre Dame.  Mike has served as a Board Member for Sportvision, Unwired Technologies, LLC (a worldwide leader in automotive infotainment connectivity), and the Chicago Sports Commission.

Eric Hoersten, Co-Founder & CTO/COO

Eric Hoersten has over 15 years of experience leveraging information technology and software application development to implement strategic solutions for both small and large corporate environments. Prior to DGT, Eric was the SVP of Technology and a founding member of the Redbox DVD Rental kiosk business. Eric led the development of the Redbox technology solution which grew to over 45,000 kiosks and $2 Billion of revenue.

Bringing experience from previous employment at Fortune 500 companies such as Honda and Comdisco as well as the successful online marketing startup Cleargauge. Eric was responsible for the specification, design and development of the Redbox machine and software platform.

Using technology as a tool to enable corporate strategy, Eric is deeply rooted in data analysis and reporting. He has successfully led the development of industry leading tools that provide businesses with the information necessary to make strategic decisions based on a better understanding of customer behavior.

Matt Dribnak, Co-Founder & VP of Client Success

Matt joins DGT with over 10 years of experience in the golf industry. His passion for the game began at the young age of 14 and continued to grow throughout a successful junior golf career and joining the professional golf industry after he graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His experience includes management in operations at both public and private facilities.

As Director of Sales & Marketing for five years at a semi-private facility in Denver, CO Matt expanded his expertise to include: marketing/branding, tournament and membership sales, tournament operations and website design. He was awarded “Top 25 Salesperson” by Colorado Biz Magazine for his large growth in tournament and membership revenue.

Matt’s true passion is to help golf courses effectively market themselves to guarantee consistent incoming revenue streams so that the facility may continue to provide top notch products and services. Matt has sold and successfully operated over 400 corporate and non-profit tournaments with a total participation count of over 40,000 golfers.
